Soundwave Revolution cancelled

2011-08-09 by InFiction | 15 Comments
Australian music festival Soundwave Revolution has been cancelled.

Promoter AJ Maddah announced the cancellation live on radio station Nova 969, stating: “We were scheduled to make a second announcement on the first of August – we had our festival co-headliner on that announcement.

"Their circumstances changed at the last minute and they had to pull out and unfortunately we don’t have enough time to replace them and we didn’t really want to go ahead with an incomplete line-up."

The silver lining is that most of the organized bands are still planning to come out to Australia, and some smaller shows will be organized.

Disappointing, but whattaya do.

I'm not buying into the rumour that the mysterious band were Limp Bizkit. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if he was covering for the true headliner Van Halen.

Kinda keen on the smaller shows being organized. There was only like 5 or so bands I wanted to see, so this might be a cheaper option.

Info about a metal festival provided by a very shitty commercial radio station?

According to AJ’s tweets every city will get shows/mini-fests close to the dates.

About the second announcement “the main one cancelled, the 2nd biggest has now shifted to SW12. Waiting to hear from Go Radio”
