Surprisingly great list. Any list that has drummers from Converge, The Bad Plus, and Acoustic Ladyland gets a thumbs up from me.

Never heard of any of them, and the only one that actually impressed me was the Oceansize drummer.

For listing Converge they sure picked an unimpressive song. There's so many more with much better drumming.

Jojo Mayer (See the third drummer KJ Sawka above) is the most fascinating of all modern drummers. Sawka is only following the footsteps of Mayer.
Well ok, ok, Mayer is tied with Dennis Chambers and Dave Weckl. Bill Bruford is also among the greatests, but he's from the old school =]

No he's not, he's deserving of all the praise. His work from Jane Doe to Axe To Fall is unreal.
Auto-fail on the comment about Stanier. Guy was a legend back in Helmet, his work on Battles speaks for itself and his beats on Tomahawk's records are a key part of that band.
The only thing you're right about, concerning Heron.

Its a good list, but I think you can't list off drum heroes, because they are personal choices. But everything on this website is. I just don;t like when we pick who the best is, it creates a stereotype that isn't fit.
