Wu-Tang, others to play Voodoo

2006-06-23 by Hep Kat | 6 Comments
The Wu-Tang Clan, Flaming Lips, My Chemical Romance and Kings Of Leon have been added to the set list of the eight annual Voodoo Music Experience, to be held in New Orleans’ City Park from October 28th-29th. The event is scheduled to be headlined by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Duran Duran.

"Despite the ongoing uncertainty in New Orleans, I feel it's important for people to continue to invest in the rebirth of our city," Voodoo producer Stephen Rehage stated "Whatever small part we can play in that, we will continue to do and we'll see in due course if it was the right decision. What I do know with no uncertainty is that New Orleans and its music culture is something worth nurturing back to its glory."

Other currently scheduled acts include: Social Distortion, Broken Social Scene, Ozomatli, Secret Machines, Blue October, Brazilian Girls, Drive-By Truckers, the Rentals, Ferry Corsten, Jack's Mannequin and Yerba Buena.
