Jet's New Album 2006-06-22 by Stormy Smiley Face | 10 Comments | Since December of last year Jet have been busy writing their follow-up to their succesful debut, "Get Born". They've written about 40 songs and have currently trimmed it down to 15 for the new record.
The still untitled album deals with many issues including tragedy. Brothers Nick (frontman) and Chris (drummer) Cester's father passed away after suffering from cancer.
"The ballads are a lot deeper. Shine on is for my brother and cousins."
"It's all resulted in a journey. It was a way to vent a lot of issues, feelings and anger. We ran a whole gamut of emotions over the last few years. You don't bury dad and go out and write the fucking party classic."
The new album will be released before the years end.

After purchasing Get Born, i honestly didn't think these guys would release another album. They seemed way to much like a one-trick pony novelty band. I'm curious to see who they rip off this time.
It really is a shame about their father tho. If there is an up-side to such a thing, maybe it will lead to more honest song writing.

These guys aren't too bad IMO. I hate their genre of music, but I like them. I love Look What You've done. I love ballads, they show what the band is about deep inside, but I can't wait to hear them.
Hopefully there doing ok. It sounds like they're taking it pretty hard.
