"As of September 2008 the band has finished recording the follow-up to Brother, Sister titled, it’s all crazy! it’s all false! it’s all a dream! it’s alright. The album is a departure from Weiss' trademark shouting and the band's raucous grooves. The mile-a-minute rants, rich with angst, are traded for more pop melodies usually pertaining to anthropomorphic vegetables and animals. In the same way the band has scaled back their edgier sounds, trading riffs for chords and guitars for pianos. The album was produced by Dan Smith (Danielson, Sufjan Stevens) and Brian McTear and is currently being mixed by Brad Wood."
yes, very scary but hopefully they can pull it off

Well, bands often misrepresent their music... everyone forgot St Anger already? 'Heavier and thrashier than ever before' sure, they just forgot to mention it was shit. Could be the opposite here, who knows?
|
| |
Definitely looking forward to it.

Youtube links? I must hear this.
Also the artwork is sweet, that got my hopes up a little.
It depends on what they mean by "pop melodies." If they incorporate that in with "talking vocals," like they did on Disaster Tourism, this could be awesome.

This is going to rule, I have no doubt.
|

Based on live videos it's actually not THAT huge of a departure from Brother, Sister. The song I'm listening to right now actually reminds me a little of In A Sweater Poorly Knit. This is going to rule.

title is reminiscent of the first chariot album

The description kind of scares me but I love the album title and the artwork.
I'm just nervous. This is going to be amazing! This Message Edited On 02.03.09
