I'd be happy with either Radiohead or Coldplay... both are great.

Its a bit lame that the Best International Group and Album awards have pretty much the same nominations.... In this case, if Kings of Leon were to win Best International Album, surely they would be a dead cert to win the Best International Group? (and the same goes for each band)

Oh and Iron Maiden to win Best British Live Act please! This Message Edited On 01.20.09

Difficult to not see Coldplay winning the major awards, although Best Single could throw up someone like Estelle or Duffy as the winner.

Easy way to pick? Go for the bands/artists that have had high sales recently. It's not like Iron Maiden is in there because they're something to fill up the category (oh wait).

Award shows like this are travesties - essentially an arse kissing competition between the high selling, talentless dross (excepting bands such as Radiohead, Maiden, etc.) Why can't they just be happy inflicting their aural torture on us and be done with it, is beyond me.

fleet foxes don't fit in this at all haha. I love them though, they deserve to beat everyone else in their categories. Seriously though, imagine seeing them next to Jay-Z. Radiohead, Elbow, Brian Eno all deserve something too.

I've seen countless bands, and none command the stage nearly as well as Iron Maiden. Gwar was a close second though.

Either Radiohead or Coldplay will walk away with something.
Hopefully Duffy will get some recognition too. I really liked her record this year.
And I totally agree with that Fleet Foxes comment, thebhoy. I'd love to see them win--standing next to Thom Yorke. The liner notes in the album even say that all Robin listened to one summer vacation was Kid A.
