New Animal Collective Leaks 2008-12-26 by tarethere | 7 Comments | | Animal Collective's much anticipated album, Merriweather Post Pavilion, has leaked due to a deceiving email sent from band member Geologist, which stated Quote:
it has come to my attention that 2 full length tracks off of our upcoming album, merriweather post pavilion have surfaced online. david, noah, and I please ask that someone assist us and leak all of the remaining tracks on the album.
the album is intended to be heard as a whole, and nothing bothers us more than individual tracks leaking and ruining the the overall album experience

Bradford Cox, of Deerhunter fame, decried this as a hack and against the artists wishes.
Regardless, the new album officially made its way online on Christmas. Happy holidays, indeed.

but its incorrect. a kid got the vinyl and he ripped and upped it and went to dinner with his grandma. the email brought about nothing because it was dumb. geologist asking bcox to leak the album when geologist could leak it on his own? riiight
