I like this time of year and I'm looking forward to numerous consensus and individual lists from both staff and members.
I might wait a week or so to vote as I remember last year my 5 changed quite a bit after I voted prematurely.

Apparently I'd better listen to the new Cynic and Eluveitie in the next two weeks to see if they make my top 5 for this year. I don't remember this being done in the last two years so it's cool that the mass user population get to contribute to our own list. I have 7 albums bidding for the 4 and 5 spot. I still have to listen to Cynic and Arghoslent too. Ugh this will be hard.

Lets try to not make our list the top 50 most hyped albums of 2008, as most music publications do. Now that we have actually gotten a chance to listen to the albums of 2008, hopefully we will see that Vampire Weekend shouldn't make even a top 1000 list.
