Guns N Roses Release Date

2008-10-15 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 29 Comments
Best Buy has confirmed that it will be exclusively carrying Guns N' Roses' long-awaited, possibly non-existent album Chinese Democracy on November 25- or perhaps even earlier.

The album will be released in several editions, possibly corresponding to different covers, while a since-pulled (and therefore likely to be accurate) Rolling Stone article suggested that the album might also contain a previously-unknown song entitled 'Scraped.' Unusually, it has been speculated that the album may hit stores on Sunday, November 23- two days before the official release. Chinese Democracy will only be available in physical form via Best Buy in North America, though it will also be available on iTunes.

It is not yet known how or when the album will be released outside of North America.

"305 000 000 free Dr. Peppers will be given out via helicoptered into remote areas while large urban centres will have stations set up for distribution", the headlines will read!

I've loved everything Guns n Roses has released, so I will be getting this.

And I realize Slash, Duff, and whats his face are no longer in the band, but it was always about Axl anyways. Use Your Illusions gets a lot of shit, but I fucking love it. Both of them.

And those 2 albums were practically all Axl's ideas.

I really, honestly hate to say this, but after playing RB2 so much, Shackler's Revenge sounds like.... Somewhat... Good... Expectations for this POS are still hella low, though.

to the guy who said axl is guns n roses. im sorry. but the reason guns was so good was because each member worked so well together. his voice matched slash's leads greatly whilst izzys rythems held it together and duffs bass lines and stevens/sorums drums kept the rythem rockin.

i bet this will sound almost industrial as i know axl really wanted to go down that line. btw has any album art been released?

"how much money has he blown on this record?"
The record company has spent roughly 13 million on the album, which is a big part of it's delay. The record company had been considering selling the album to another label simply because they didn't think that album sales would bring them out of the debt the album has created in it's production.
This is most likely why they are doing a best buy exclusive...so that Best Buy would eat up some of that album debt by paying for exclusivity of the album's release.

I hope Chinese Democracy is delayed for another decade or so. I don't know why, I think I'd just enjoy it...

The way Guns N Roses worked together was their appeal? Nah... Use Your Illusion mainly Axl? BIG NOOOOO......
He shouldn't be allowed to call this Guns N Roses, I agree. Guns N Roses ended a long time ago. I always thought their appeal was mostly Slash, and also how tight the rhythm section were, and when Slash decided to work as part of the band (more so during Use Your Illusion) it was really good. Axl was really the problem with the band, especially live, when the rest of them were absolutely fantastic, but not him.
Axl's album was "The Spaghetti Incident?" (mostly because it was all covers), and we all know how that turned out... Explaining my lack of enthusiasm for this, really.

Ewww, I thought this would never see the ligh of day. More whiny vocals and no redeeming guitar parts from Slash etc.

Avoiding.

Oh, i cannot wait until the haters start dissing on the album cover :

http://www.gunsnroses.us/news/

an old bike and basket ...

this new "Guns N' Roses" is and will be the "band to hate".

anyway,

The demos are good
The live performances were good (in 2001, 2002, 2006)
I think the Cd will be pretty good too.
Solid compared to all the sh*t coming out this past years.

it's out on the 23rd.
worldwide.
