Sweet merciful Lord why?
Next band to release a song with Rock N' Roll in the title (and be serious about it) should receive a swift jab to the balls
|
| |
oh god... awful.
|
| |
Marksellus, they have about four songs with Rock and Roll in the title on their forthcoming album.
|
| |
I was aware of that, and as such, they all deserve four nutshots
|
| |
I think the song is pretty good. Better than what most bands their age are doing. The thing about AC/DC is that they just tread water. They know what they do best, and that is play loud classic rock and roll.
If you listen expecting anything different then your crazy.
The song is still playing, and I think it's a pretty sweet song. Sounds like it could half been on any of their older cd's. Brian's voice sounds a little aged but perhaps that's because he's aged. I think it'll get some good radio play, especially since bands like Airbourne are getting good radio play and sound like AC/DC clones.
As for the title...is he not saying "Runaway Train" in the chorus. I thought that was the original title. And what's wrong with Rock and Roll in the title! "Rock and Roll Music" by Chuck Berry is a classic.
|
| |
Yeah, but Chuck Berry IS rock and roll. He can do what the shit he pleases.
|
| |
It's ACDC. Not bad. Still quite like the tone of their guitars.
|
| |
Good Song by AC/DC, still keeping the same sound & formula for songs but it still sounds good to me after all the times I've heard them
|
| |
not bad at all...it sounds just AC/DC. everything is the same good old. they could have done so much worse.
|
| |
This hovers above mediocrity, wasn't that bad at all actually... album will fail if they don't get a little more creative.
|
| |
"album will fail if they don't get a little more creative."
Here is a piece from an old guitar world interview in like 2001.
GW: What do you say to those who say you've basically played the same songs on 12 albums now?
Angus Young: I'd tell them they're crazy...we've been doing the same thing for 15 records now.
|
| |
I've never liked AC/DC, all the songs I've heard sounded the same, and the guitarist annoys me.
Won't be checking this out. This Message Edited On 08.28.08This Message Edited On 08.28.08

Ugh, 'typical songs sound the same comment'.
|
| |
sounds like AC/DC...
strange
|
| |
OMFG....whats going on ..typical AC/DC good stuff
|
| |
I like it. And Chuck Berry is pervert.
|
| |
these guys are the masters of commitment. doing the same shit for over 30 years now
|
| |
They really miss Bon, the lyrics to this song are soooo infantile.
|
| |
Brian Johnson ftfw!
|
| |
sounds like Airbourne.
|
| |
dude this is awesome
|
| |
exclusive to wal-mart? its gotta be good
|
| |
It's nothing new, no-one said it would ever be but if f'ing rules!!!
|
| |
Excellent song! Very catchy and, as expected, good 'ole AC/DC rockin' hard as usual...Brian's vocals sound surprisingly good...the best band around for guys their age, and for what different trends they've survived over the years with their music, they're awesome. They've always turned out on top of things. Rock on boys!
Can't wait to buy the album and see them on their 18-MONTH tour.
|
| |
I don't understand how a releasing a Walmart exclusive could ever be seen as an intelligent marketing strategy.
|
| |
Gah. Sucks. And I like AC/DC.
|
| |
Oh and they usually do about 5 or 6 dates here in Newcastle, so I'm definitely gonna see them.
|
| |
"sounds like Airbourne."
Facepalm.
|
| |
imagine if AC/DC was emo.
|
| |
I doubt AC/DC are gonna release a failure album any time soon. They're still AC/DC, as the song proves. Not bad, by any means, just AC/DC. In my world, that's all I was expecting, and well done to them for delivering.
|
| |
That sound was just painfuo. I can't imagine how a band could live with themselves playing hte same damn thing for that long and continously getting worse at it.This Message Edited On 08.30.08This Message Edited On 08.30.08

how come AC/DC gets to get away with having each and every song sound the same and no other band does? it's fucking stupid.
