I agree with cush... It's a big deal to sell that many CDs when a lot of people are downloading free MP3s off the net..
And I like Paramore. Not, like, a favourite band or anything, but I think they are quite good. I've heard worser music out there.

Maybe not the music but the status. If you are ignorant and are clueless why I will let you know. Go to your favorite torrent site, type in Paramore - Riot! and see how many seeders and leeches there are. Then keep in mind not everyone who downloads it will do this. Should I say more? Once more I'm not judging the quality of music in based off of record sales. I am saying that saying it is not a big deal to go platinum in this day and age bends the line between ignorance and retardation. Congrats to these guys and lovely young lady!

For shame, now Paramore will think their music is actually above average.
I personally buy a lot more music since downloading became popular. Who wants to go out and buy a CD then discover it is shit? I only own the CDs of albums that I personally think are excellent. Come to think of it, I hadn't even bought any CDs nor had the intention of buying any before I started downloading :/
