it will probably be bad like At War With The Mystics was
|

“something like if John Lennon got together with Miles Davis and they discovered computers”
that is the single most ****ing pretentious prediction i have heard- potentially ever. ugh. go back to heroin coyne.
|
| |
meh i`m excited about it
|
| |
same, hope it doesn't suck. gotta accept it'll be similar to their last three albums, anyhow.
|
| |
Sweet love this band.
|
| |
excited for this
|
| |
At war with the mystics was pretty awesome I think. I like prettymuch everything they have put out, and im sure this will be no exception... and it was Steven Drozd that had the heroin problem.
|

You people don't understand. They’re one of the most esoteric acts in America and a must-see live band thanks to props like giant bubbles and furry animal suits because the headline said they are. Because they really are.
Jerks.
|
| |
At War with the Mystics was one of their crappier albums, but I am still pretty excited for this. Although their ridiculous description of how it sounds is somewhat of a turn-off.
|
| |
i really couldn`t give a shit about what he says it sounds like because i doubt it sounds like ”if John Lennon got together with Miles Davis and they discovered computers”
|
| |
Please don't suck, please don't suck, please don't suck.
|
| |
hopefully this isn't as mediocre as their last album
|
| |
Yeah, the comment is a bit arrogant, but I'll probably be buying this. Each album has a couple gems at the least. Hoping it's like The Soft Bulletin.
|
| |
Flaming Lips got nothing on Miles Davis.
|
| |
their last album was okay
everyone has an attitude all of a sudden
|
| |
hope the album sounds exactly like if john lennon and miles davis found computers so all you fuckers would be wrong
|
| |
why are all of these users comparing The Flaming Lips to Miles Davis
not a matter of tomato-tomatto (or however the fuck you would verbalize the paralleled pronunciations on the computer)
|
| |
I don't get why everyone is suddenly badmouthing the Flaming Lips.
|
| |
eh just their last album blew
the rest of their stuff is good tbh
|
| |
they rule.
|
| |
one of the greatest alt bands of all time
|
| |
I hope when all you people who left negative comments download the album john lennon and miles davis come out of your computer and lick your minds open
|
| |
It's funny how some people here think they're authority figures or something and start talking negative shit because mommy didnt coddle them enough or whatever, but if you've got negative shit to say then keep it to yourself ass clowns..

I just want to vomit to all the ***holes who think that At War With The Mystics is a bad album:
"You are pathetic unicellular beings, just able to hear vulgar mainstream noise. Your music taste is as dead as your soul. At War With The Mystics is a masterpiece, the best 2006 album by far. If you don't like this album, then you don't like The Flaming Lips at all, so please stop spreading your hatred worldwide cos you s**k. Love."This Message Edited On 01.19.09

I completely agree with Chikilicuatre! At war... made me fly as high as Yoshimi !In France ,we're a few to know this band, and for the fans,a new album will always be like a jewel!I'm 42 and I feel like a teenage while listening to Mr ambulance driver ,yeah yeah song, the gold in the mountain of your madness, pompei am... etc. This ban has such a sincerity and such an hapiness! It' very rare for me in the current music to find combined arty attitude and love of the life. They are so positives, don't you think?I'm lasting for their european tour and if you have hot news, please, let me know .From Normandy with kisses

I hope it's brilliant cos they have been brilliant on so many occasions. Just not on At War..
