I like it more than the Pantera version. Phil Anselmo sucks.

The recording sounds good. When I saw them in January they actually played this cover in the middle of their set and it sounded great.

Great cover. Lots of people look down on these guys, especially after City of Evil, but you have to appreciate that they are incredibly talented musicians and put on an awesome show.

Pantera's version of 'Walk' >>>>>> A7X's cover of it.
It's not a bad job though, its pretty good. They didn't do a bad job on the solo either. I just like the original version much, much more. Because I, for one, thought Phil's voice was more pissed off sounding and rabid on the original.

I thought Shadows sounded surprisingly close to Anselmo. I was shocked at first listen.

I prefer the original version, but that could be said about, like 99% of covers out there. It's still great, but Shadows' voice seems to lack the edge that Anselmo's had on the original.
But I like Shadows' voice here a lot more than I did on City of Evil. Pretty nice work by Gates as well. Not an easy task to duplicate a Dimebag solo.

I think the vocals for the cover are rather poor in comparison to the original IMO. But it was still enjoyable. This Message Edited On 06.03.06

the vocals are a little weak, but on the whole, better than i was expecting.

that kerrang covers cd is great thought (with the exception of that shitty Aiden band butchering a misfits song). 36crazyfists doing FNM's "digging the grave" was excellent, partly because my band cover that, and i love that song!

I don't like either group, Panter or A7X. But, you know.

Why is Walk the only Pantera song that bands ever cover? I, for one, would've enjoyed A7X tackling Cemetery Gates. They could do something good with that, I think.

More people know Walk better then any other Pantera song so it makes sense they would cover it.

Phil Anselmo is a better singer but he acts like a dick.

pantera is a hard act to follow, but a7x didn't do a bad job. Original songs always beat the cover though....

Cool, but they basically tried to duplicate it, instead of making it different. I like the covers that change the personality of the song and make it their own style.
