No New Therion Album Until 2010

Therion's Christofer Johnsson has issued an update revealing that, despite signing a five-album deal with Nuclear Blast in July, the group will not release their next album until 2010.

Some designs will be available also through THERION Store after the tour, others may be if there's a remaining stock, if not they will be unique for the tour. We'll also offer super deals on some remaining stock from the last tour as long as it lasts.

Apart from that we have built a special stage for this event and prepared a special show to ensure you to get the best THERION show you've ever seen. So be there or be sorry!

There will be a DVD recorded from the tour. However, due to DVD releases of the classical show in Hungary last year and the show we recorded in Poland in January, a DVD from the tour we're doing now will be put in the vaults for quite some time, not to flood our potential buyers with products. We're making a new album in 2009 and will release it and tour on it in 2010, so earliest would be to sync that, if the record label prefer it to be in a time with no other releases, then we'll push it to 2011.

What band honestly says "We're going to put out a record two years from now" aside from these idiots?

Any band is idiotic for being in the state of mind that they are going to last at least two years to make another record. They might want to, but no one can accurately judge where they will be in two years, especially someone in the rapidly changing (especially in this day and age), music business.

Haha, I'm glad retards exist on the review site as well as the forums.

I hope you don't apply the same philosophy to yourself, Intransit. I mean, do you strive to do anything? Do you eat regularly? What's the point when it's hard to accurately judge where you will be in two years, in one year, tomorrow even, especially in this day and age of increasing death rates.

Hehe. Just like they were never going to tour the US again after the last tour...

*They toured it this year*

Therion's one of my favorite bands, but the drama cracks me up. I hope to god that they actually get this lineup to STICK ,as it's one of their best...except for that Dream Evil guy who really sucks...but the female vocals have the most character they've had since Astner & co (Vovin, etc), and the band musicians are killer (especially Petr...that guy freaking rocks). This Message Edited On 12.10.07
