Swiss noise-rock band Coilguns will release their fifth studio album, Everything We Love, We Destroy, on November 6 through Humus Records. The follow-up to 2024's Odd Love was written and recorded at the band's warehouse headquarters in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Coilguns describe an emphasis on quicker, more instinctive songwriting, with rougher riffs and more direct lyrics. The record reunites them with engineer Scott Evans, mixing engineer Tom Dalgety and mastering engineer Robin Schmidt. The newly released title track follows Peace Trader and Carbon Magic. According to the band, it was written to mark the tenth anniversary of the Paris Climate Accords, questioning the gap between environmental commitments and action. Its two contrasting sections were recorded using different drum kits and rooms, moving from a tight, immediate sound to the more spacious acoustics of an empty warehouse.
