I enjoyed it! Not a mindblowing track or anything but it was fun for what it was.

Pretty dope track, but I hope the album displays a mix of their old and new sound.

I think it's pretty great. I love their classic era, but certainly don't need them to release another record in that style. I like they're leaning heavily into their Bungle influence here, they could go even harder down that direction tbh. Because, yeah, a lot of this sounds very Haken-esque.

Looking forward to this. Haven't actually listened to them for a long ass time. Might change that today and spin an album of theirs... or two.

Wow this is fucking awful and I say that as someone who’s a pretty big fan of the band. These guys are always at their worst when they turn the “zany” factor up to 10 and this song almost feels entirely like that with the 80s synths / xylophone stuff nonstop.

I think this is supposed to be a sort of follow up in the vein of Coma Ecliptic. Its a hard sell

while i certainly dig this side of them... it does irk me when i see them live and the mosh pit starts for voice of trespass but not the actual breakdowns

I saw these guys live (with Veil of Maya?) 5+ years ago and they were the headline show. I felt kind of bad because literally 70% of the crowd left after Veil and the vibe was honestly just kind of ruined after that.

Saw them live once and the vocals were horrible, as I expected. Them and David Maxim Micic (who was cool as fuck) opened for Animals As Leaders if I remember correctly. Instrumentally a fun band but they were a bit too chaotic for the show anyway. Perhaps Plini was there as well but could have been another show, not sure anymore.

^I've seen them live 3 times, vocals were shot at one of those shows but excellent during the others. Guessing he just rides them a bit hard, tends to give a poorer showing after consecutive shows or near the end of tours?

Always excited for new BTBAM because they're a damn consistent band, but this song was so-so for me. Too zany, maybe too much clean singing as well for my tastes for this band.

Idk, this song seems pretty fun overall, but I agree that it's weird to have this as an opener. I would expect it to sit somewhere comfortably in the middle of the album--like how their single "Fix The Error" for Colors II was.

Dan Briggs must be shouldering a lot of the song writing duties now days: this style has his fingerprints all over it. Not a bad thing though, in my opinion!

@Comatorium In fairness to BTBAM, it seems they did hire a studio to make the video; the studio is credited in the video description. Not saying the video is necessarily good or not AI, but they did pay someone to make it for them.

They just dropped another song. It's really an achievement that a song can have so much going on and still do absolutely nothing for me. RIP BTBAM, I still enjoy The Great Misdirect from time to time.

Hmm... That new single is definitely something else. I think more context with the album as a whole is needed. Sometimes the off-the-wall weirdness makes more sense when lined up with the other songs. But I'm tempering my expectations for this upcoming record.
