Blindside release new single

Blindside have released a new single after almost 14 years of silence. No word yet on if a new album is forthcoming. The previous single Blindside released in 2019, Gravedigger, was a brief glimmer of hope that appeared to fade away. Now, after a powerful and heartfelt appearance at Furnace Fest in 2024, Blindside appear to be active again.

You can listen to the new single, Dead Weight, below:

And the previous single from five years ago, Gravedigger:

"almost 14 years of silence"

Pun intended?

"Like Thrice but from Sweden?"

surprisingly good comparison, particularly if you lock in Beggars-era Thrice. The key difference being that, as much as I love Dustin Kensrue, Christian Lindskog is a better singer and a MUCH better screamer.

Damn that's an ugly hat. Production is clean though, solid track

Christian's screams at the end of the Burning Fire title track are some of the best of all time

I liked the song. I'm glad they're coming back, I wonder what took them so long. We need more Christian. Maybe top 10 singers of the past 20 years for me

I'm not surprised they disappeared. Anything after "Fire" was pretty boring and lacked any spark. Maybe it was just the production but The Great Depression was just so muted.
