That opening / verse riff reminds me so much of Revocation. Song is just OK but looking forward to the album nonetheless

Wasn't a big fan of the last album, but this sounds like an interesting new direction. Want to hear more...

Kind of reminds me of The Panic Broadcast style and sound. That one wasn't really my favorite, but it wasn't bad.

Sounds better than the last 2 at least

Well, it's something else, which sadly makes sense with David's passing... Not sure about it yet, but it's not bad for sure

I liked that opening riff but that chorus felt flat. I guess it has more energy than their last one but it's still very, very by-the-numbers even for Soilwork

That chorus has been stuck in my head all day. If that isn’t success from a song writer’s perspective then I don’t know what is. But I get what you’re saying. You prefer something “smarter” versus hooky af.

I will always have a soft spot for these guys. They seem to be the only ones rocking the good old days of euro melo-death lite.

Not their best, but I dig it. Definitely better than what I've heard from their last two.

Also that opening/main riff gives me Revocation vibes tbh

think you should give that last one another listen man, it's fantastic and up there with TLI / TRM imo

I gotta jam Overgivenheten tbh, only heard a couple songs.

I wasn't a huge fan of Verkligheten though, but I should probably give that another spin too.

Verkligheten is nowhere near as good as Overgivenheten, probably mostly because of the drumming department, he improved hugely on overgiven, but also the songwriting is much more adventurous on the last record

Kinda sounds like Revocation in the beginning
