You just gotta laugh

"This marks a continuation from their previous album Heroine"
Yeah, a continuing nose-dive in quality specifically.
|
| |
Not bad. They’re really honing in on “glam Loathe” being their sound. I’m sure I’ll 3.5 it when it comes out.
|
| |
boring
band should learn to skronk
|
| |
1 outta 10, rip thornhill 2016-2019!
|
| |
I think the song is fine. A little boring maybe, but not bad by any stretch. But it also isn't surprising. I really liked Heroine. It was a good rock record. But from what I saw, a lot of people wanted The Dark Pool pt. 2. And from what the band has said, they do not really like that genre of music anymore. And that's okay too.
|
| |
band will do whatever the fuck they want to do and you guys will like it
|
| |
shame this band broke up after the dark pool but at least they went out with a banging debut album and never followed it up with anything else ever to tarnish their legacy oh wait
|
| |
So The Dark Pool will be the only thing worth while by this band dope
|
| |
Hey Thornhill can you rename your band seeing as how it's a completely different project now thanks xoxo
This isn't bad but it's just not my thing anymore. Shame.
|
| |
these guys are scratching the same itch that nothing but thieves (prior to their last dud) do for me so this is neat.
|
| |
I see they're still doing lame muse worship
|
| |
Hahaha ‘Glam Loathe’ makes way more sense that it should
Vocalist auditioning for Muse and Holding Absence at the same time for some reason
|
| |
Starting to wonder if their incredible debut was a fluke.
|
| |
“You just gotta laugh” [2]
“Muse worship” [2]
|
| |
Not as bad as what they were doing before but still not good
(3) those other things
|
| |
I don't even like Muse so yeah this direction is ah, erm, how do we say...
not gud
|
| |
Muse are shit, it’s true.
|
| |
calling these dudes metal is a bit silly now.
|
| |
yeah this kinda has those awkward Muse vibes
|
| |
wonder if they are all just mega horny and realised they have stronger pull with this sound
|
| |
Stronger pull - giggity
|
| |
Muse worship but they've never heard their good albums
|
| |
rather than a band who happens to sell merch, they're now more of a merch seller who are also a band
"wonder if they are all just mega horny and realised they have stronger pull with this sound" this is a much more fun interpretation than them being a bunch of dudes just trying to find a cheap way to cash in
|
| |
I think they got out all their emotional shit early and have nothing more to express in that direction, so they’ve just gone for having fun. I can respect it. I don’t think the song’s great, but it was okay
|
| |
Worst song they've ever written
|
| |
Butterfly > LP
|
| |
band went from being one of my favorites of all time (TDP) to being total dogwater (Heroine)
|
| |
"calling these dudes metal is a bit silly now."
oh for sure. Too bad, loved their EP and debut album
|
| |
I hear more Queens of the stone age than muse on this
|
| |
Everything said above me other than complimentary comments [2]
|
| |
Least the vocals aren't horrendously mixed like on Heroine I guess? If there is a positive I can take from this it's that....uhh other then that this is just painfully boring. Talk about a band with promise completing departing for one giant misdirection. I am not one that dislikes change but if you're going to do it, especially so drastically you kind of have to nail it and they're far from even understanding what they want to be besides a worship group at this point.

This is what Royal Blood wishes they were
