that's embarrassing. song isn't even that good
|
| |
im like 90% sure this song already existed
|
| |
its so derivative of her song "traitor", this song shows almost zero creative growth from her first album. she's gotta stop with the whisper-talk-singing she does, she has great range but utilizes the worst part of it in so many of her songs.
its not a bad track, its just so uninspired.

Sour was the breakup album of the year for sure, but I couldn't get behind how repetitive it was lyrically. Wonder if Guts will be any different
|
| |
AmericanFlagAsh put my thoughts on Sour into words. "Replace the ballads with more pop punk / pop rock songs and this would have been excellent."
That's what I'm hoping the case is with the new album, but I'm not entirely confident, since those ballads were the most popular songs off Sour
|
| |
My lord how can you be more bland
|
| |
I thought it got better after that first chorus but agreed she should stop doing the whispery singing
|
| |
"those ballads were the most popular songs off Sour"
Sour's biggest hit was a pop-punk song tho
|
| |
this sounds like a better Taylor Swift. not bad
|
| |
Even though I like it, I still think this sounds like a SOUR B-side. Let's hope to see her branching a little bit out and exploring other sounds/topics.
Am I wrong or the chord progression in the beginning is the same as Creep?

the chord progression around the chorus is literally the same as her own song "traitor" off SOUR
|
| |
Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish vibes, but a prettier voice, less hackneyed writing, better production, more personality and a more distinct sound. Not my favorite current pop star, but I like her presence in the pop landscape.

Yeah I really liked this. Agree with the assessment above.

Don’t think I can even bring myself to check this lol
|

this is really good but agree that this sounds maybe a little too similar to sour
|

Crazy how people only a few months older than me are already set for life
|

Time changes men like the leaves of Autumn.
|

THE ONLY CERTIANTY IS DEATH
|
| |
sounds just like a cut from Sour, no stylistic progression whatsoever, but it works.. the song was well composed and arranged
|
| |
Agreed it sounds a lot like the best songs from Sour, but since I liked Sour a lot, I'm fine with that. The rest of the album may branch out a little more, artists tend to play it safe with singles.
|
| |
The part sound 2:45-2:48 into the video above sounds a lot like the progression from the bridge of Silversun Pickups' "The Wild Kind" (3:15-3:25 on Spotify version). Even if she straight up ripped off of it, I'd be impressed.

"Crazy how people only a few months older than me are already set for life"
I'm set for life. A very short life.
|

Touché

Lmao
|

who the fuck is olivia rodrigo [2]
okay song tho
|
| |
Why is this shit covered on this site? She is a generic disney pop star…
|
| |
there's def something about her that appeals to the post harcore/emo kids on here. (and no i don't mean her looks not entirely)
think the opener on the last album bought her a lot of goodwill in that it showed she could potentially do something more "interesting" if she really wanted so we are all silently rooting for her (given her platform)?
