With their first 3 albums, Incantation were way ahead on their peers. I used to think of them as one of the most interesting and promising new DM acts, back in the days, and I'm sure they've been a major influence to many. After all those years, they kinda lost this head position, but they will always be something special to me.

Don't know what some are going on about acting like incantation are mediocre nowdays. Dirges of Elysium,sect of vile divinities, vanquish. Still a very solid dm band. Sure the first 3 incantations were the best but they don't have a bad album truthfully

I dont recall anyone saying they're mediocre now. Their output post-2000 has been a noticeable step below their first three but no one said they're bad

I love John. He's so earnest and embodies the spirit of metal. A real pleasure to see them play. This track doesn't do a whole lot for me. I think Sect of Vile Divinities was a more enjoyable listen than this track, but we shall see soon enough
