Well I hope they get the radio spins they're looking for.
| |
imagine going from being a pretty compelling female-led rock group to this watered down dime a dozen generic pop. also this visualizer is pretty cringe.
| |
Kinda wild how PVRIS has gone so downhill ever since Lynn stepped in and made it all about herself.
And yeah I know I'm a broken record whose commented that on other posts but that's just because it pisses me off lol
| |
pretty decent pop song, but it doesn't sound a lot like PVRIS anymore
| |
This fucking sucks. So much potential wasted.
| |
@Spec - I completely agree. The run from their debut to the Hallucinations EP was damn spectacular. Then the wheels fell off completely.
| |
I really liked White Noise and All We Know..., that sound is dead in this band though, if you can even call them a band anymore.
| |
very nothing song
| |
They're about as much of a "band" nowadays as Panic! At the Disco lol they're both glorified solo artists.
| |
lmao pika
| |
Good track, shaping up to be a good album
| |
Good song! I like the effects in the beginning in particular, it’s uncanny how it reminds me of some of the sounds I’ve heard while dxm tripping. I can totally see this as a natural evolution
| |
And yeah, this “Band” structure is probably similar to From Indian Lakes, where they do the majority of the writing but tour with the band
| |
I don’t hate it, but I miss the old vibe they had going
| |
Ah, this reminds me to listen to more Evergreen Terrace.
| |
Actually love this tbh. But it is different and pretty much a different band than White Noise-AWKOH, for better or worse. Will have to see how the album spins
| |
i mean more than half of the album has been released as singles so i think we all have a p good indication of how the full thing vibes lmfao
| |
Probably the only interesting song they've put out since they completely abandoned their original sound and Lynn's voice started deteriorating.
If they were on a major label they'd be dominating top 40 pop, because it's a cut above top 40 fodder while being way closer to that than to any variety of rock music
edit: they were on warner and still could barely chart worth a fuck...well again, generally uninteresting music...first album was way better
| |
Love the singles so far
| |
I do miss their first album's sound. She always sounds overproduced nowadays.
With that said, they do some pretty decent pop music now. The singles are good, but I feel I won't keep them on repeat like I did with White Noise.
