Boris’s third Heavy Rocks 2022-05-17 by Free Death #2 | 16 Comments | After just releasing the odd W back in January, Japanese stalwarts Boris have announced their second record for 2022, and their third to be titled Heavy Rocks. The album promises to be a return to Boris’s rock and proto-metal tendencies, including saxophone and noise influences like the band’s work with Merzbow.
First single and opener “She is burning” is available to stream now, and delivers on the chunky feedback and searing riffs one expects from Boris in full rock mode.
