This is so close to being awesome but these transitions are jarring. There's various interesting ideas here by themselves but they either don't or aren't molded well together.

If this wasn't marketed as a "black metal album" people would actually be all over this. As a whole this is -almost- Shogun tier trivium. Singles are not a good rep of this album's big picture.

i really hate how modern bm bands put the vocals overtop of everything else, accidentally highlighting how goofy harsh vox sound in a vacuum. first round of gerard skremz sounded goofy because they were put overtop of everything lol. I liked the proggy clean parts at the beginning but then it kinda just wandered around like Opeth at their worst.

Some of this works pretty good, the rest of it not so much. I liked a lot of the ideas presented in the first half of the song, but the second half really meanders on. The transition around 7:28 was especially bad. Gerard's vocals are definitely the standout here, that shit caught me off guard.

Jesus christ this is the guy from MCR..... outside of Gerard being suprisingly awesome. The clean vocals are repeated way too much and feels too bombastic for what the song is. This shits 9 minutes long wtf it really doeant feel like it deserves this length. Deadspace "woahs"
