New Arab Strap tune 2022-01-13 by fluid in its most purist form. always drenched in an undeniable regal divinity. | 9 Comments | Standing strong off the back of 2021 Album of the Year As Days Get Dark, Arab Strap
have dropped a new song! Its name is “Aphelion" and it's an outtake from that album, to be released as a 7" single on March 4th with a B-side "Flutter", also from that album's sessions.
On this matter, frontman Aidan Moffat commented:
"These two songs were written, recorded and mixed during the sessions for As Days Get Dark but as much as we loved them, we couldn’t find a place for them on the final album [...] So, to celebrate the anniversary of the album's release, we present As Days Get Dark’s two runaway loners; a couple of black sheep who might not click with the rest of the family but, even though they aren't very happy, are still worth a cuddle."
Will this pairing make for the single of the year? It will be added to the Sputnikmusic database nearer to the time of release. Support local singles today.
