Savatage's Jon Oliva Arrested

According to Blabbermouth, iconic Savatage singer-songwriter Jon Oliva was arrested earlier this week for driving under the influence and possession of cocaine.

Florida's police charged Oliva with DUI, which is a misdemeanor, and possession of a controlled substance, which is a felony. Jon was released on bail less than 24 hours after his arrest on Friday (October 1st).

I heard somewhere that Florida is one of the only states that has a law that allows press to have full access to all of the police reports. If true that probably explains why there's so many crazy detailed arrest stories from the state. Hilarious nonetheless. Hope dude gets his life together and all that.

Honestly, musicians have been arrested for far worse. Still don't approve of this one bit but drug laws are a bit over the top in the US. The DUI is moronic in his part.

This is totally heartbreaking for anyone that actually cares about Jon and Savatage/TSO in general. Understanding his history and his attempts to get sober...this truly hurts and I'm hoping he can rebound from this. One of the nice guys out there who has some true demons to face down
