I'm not a huge Tarja Turunen fan anyway, nor do I really like Nightwish all that much... so maybe I'm not the best person to be making comments about it... but her single is pretty boring.

Never been interested in Nightwish so I doubt I'll check this out.
I'd think she's hot if her cheek bones weren't so big in comparison to her cheeks.

It needs to be in the right light. Some of the pictures of her are quite good, the others make her look like a grandmother.

Ted, I still don't see how you think the new Nightwish album is lame. There's a higher percentage of lame on it than their others, true, but there's also tracks that I'd count as some of the best of their career.

Like what? Poet and the Pendulum? That's the only decent song I've heard, and I definitetly wouldn't it call it the best of their career. Amaranth is ok I guess. Eva is absolute garbage, as is Bye Bye Beautiful and Cadence of Her Last Breath. The Islander is kinda cool I guess and the Celtic tune is cool (Last of the Wilds). 7 Days is ok.

The funny thing is that Annette's singing isn't even my biggest beef...I actually really like her in some places, although I do dislike her alot in others. It's just...not that great of an album. I feel like Anette's voice doesn't work with alot of the songs, which tend to have better instrumentation. Then there's the songs that fit her voice really well but suck (like Cadence); it's only really on 1 or 2 songs where everything seems to work. Marco's vocals are also really bad on alot of tracks...I found it really hard to listen to Master Passion Greed without cracking up.

So, yeah...that's how it's lame.

I liked Master Passion Greed, even if there's some parts of it (the shout chorus parts mostly) that are unbearably cheesy. Although you do bring up a good point...Annette's voice really doesn't fit with the music that well. The one that works really well with her is For The Heart I Once Had, and as poppy as that song is, it's actually very well done.

My bad Det. After seeing the new video and being my first song from their new stuff it seems to a bit more poppish and less guitar heavy then their older stuff. Im a bit dissapointed really. I still might buy this, im not sure.

For the Heart I Once Had's chorus is just plain awesome. My favorite though is Last of the Wilds...this song is just plain beautiful. Poet and the Pendulum also is great as well.

I feel that Nightwish will still be great without Annete because Nightwish wasn't about Tarja (that is one of the reason she was fired, lol). Tarja will be fine without Nightwish too.

Annete just can't compete with Oceanborn. It aint gonna happen.
