Getting some Anberlin vibes.
Apart from slappa da bass, comfortably their dullest track yet.
| |
Evanescence on steroids.
nice track, much better than Circle With Me. no Constance or Holy Roller though
| |
^ [2] on everything. Said everything I came to say lol
| |
songs rules, their shift into a more streamlined sound suits them, they sound better than most bands doing it.
all for ditching djent
| |
this is fire
| |
I can't wait for this album. They just keep delivering time after time
| |
"all for ditching djent"
what in the hell are you talking about, literally the very first riff in the song is a djent riff
| |
^ I thought the same thing lol. This is def djenty
| |
It’s like pop djent though its literally one step heavier than breaking Benjamin.... I meant troo djent
| |
this is great now matter how you put it
| |
i mean dude, what's wrong with pop djent? forget labels if you dig it you dig it
| |
nothings wrong with it, i said the song rules
| |
it's because your compared them to breaking benjamim, quite arguably a band that plays music.
| |
Definitely some djenty metalcore here
And a bit overhyped.
But still nice
| |
Song is very nice :]

dJeNt Is NoT a GeNrE

Getting some Anberlin vibes. [2]
| |
i love mainstream Spiritbox, i love this song
| |
So stoked for this. I've been waiting for a full LP ever since listening to their self-titled EP.
| |
God damn, every single is weaker than the last
| |
I like this way more than Circle With Me tbh.
| |
Stoked. Bout time they dropped a full length
| |
Yea, it's only four months
| |
complete losers for announcing an album four months in advance
| |
Absolutely hate when bands do that.
I remember we had to wait like 4 months for the new Architects album, and we all know that was totally worth the wait
| |
This is even worse to me, cause they've been hinting an album release for what seems like 1.5 years lol
| |
I like this a lot more than the last one. I know a lot of people want them to do heavier stuff but I think this sound suits them really well, and I'm sure we're going to get a fair bit of heavy material on the album. I prefer melodic Spiritbox to heavy Spiritbox, but really enjoy both sides so I'm just generally happy when it comes to this band.
| |
there was this little thing that stopped them from finishing the album called a p- pa-
ah, pandemic.
| |
Holy Roller came out JULY last year. I'm impatient. I don't want to wait 4 months.
| |
Nice track.
Maybe I'm ootl since I don't usually pay attention to this stuff, but is it normal to have released a third of the tracklist four months ahead of time? Seems like a lot.
| |
It has become a common trend to release a ton of singles. Alongside that trend are massive gaps between album announcements and their actual releases. Not a fan of either.
| |
Glad to see the girl from glee doing so well.
| |
I expect part of the 4 month wait has to do with touring again. Don't forget that Corona virus exists still and that Canada, where this band are from, have not vaccinated as quickly as the States.
Spiritbox have also gained almost all their momentum from their singles. They were still a relatively obscure band when their debut and singles collection was released. Why would they stop doing what's obviously been so successful for them?
| |
Spiritbox has more music videos than most bands will probably have in their whole career
| |
Like the song but out of the singles from this so far, this was the most boring.
Holy Roller/Constance were top teir, Circle with Me was a personally enjoyable song but I understand the dislike, this just sounded generic af
| |
if they knew djenti lovato would sell let em get the bag
| |
I'm a huge sucker for how Spiritbox implements the heavy/screamed parts in their melodic songs, it just has so much impact. but the variety is welcome and keeps them from wearing out that formula. good song
| |
"djenti lovato" lmaooo
| |
"djenti lovato"
lol spot on
Solid song
| |
Dig it, consider me hyped for the album. I hope they mix it up in parts though, I'm a little concerned that most tracks will follow a similar formula and half the album ends up sounding the same.
| |
Seems like these guys are leading the pack in metal releases this year. Shame it's gonna be MONTHS till it comes out but I get it probably wanna tour it
| |
the first 40 seconds has good momentum before they go AAL with it
| |
I like the AAL wankery on it.
| |
this is dope. love me some djenty riffage
| |
Why is this band so popular on Sput?
| |
how so
| |
band is popular in general, makes sense they'd have a sput following
| |
The first minute sounds like it could be Emmure's next melodic hit song
| |
Emmure do be having bangers tho.
| |
You're not lying
| |
Its popular on Sput because they are amazing
| |
ehhh
| |
They're good, let's agree on that.
| |
Stoked for the record, bummed out about the long wait time. Love this song, great "Pop-Djent". One more Spiritbox song I can listen to with my wife =) ...But also, this doesn't sound one bit like Anberlin. Watchu be smokin', man?

Yeah I don't hear Anberlin at all in this.
