Satanic Planet drop Baphomet 2021-03-26 by Simon K. STAFF | 12 Comments | Experimental satanic-punkers SATANIC PLANET dropped the first single from their self-titled debut album today, due out May 28th. The band consists of Lucien Greaves (The Satanic Temple co-founder and spokesperson), Luke Henshaw (Planet B, Sonido de la Frontera), Dave Lombardo (Slayer, The Misfits, Mr. Bungle, Suicidal Tendencies, Dead Cross), and Justin Pearson (The Locust, Dead Cross, Swing Kids, Deaf Club).
Their upcoming album, Satanic Planet, has a purpose - a cause to advocate religious liberty and the voice of the Satanic Reformation. The band describe their formation and the making of this album as follows on their Bandcamp:
This collaboration embraces the avant-garde to create sci-fi sermons that range from doom and industrial to evil exotica. These dark musical soundscapes serve as a vessel to share the important messages that The Satanic Temple stands for, including religious freedom, highlighting the hypocrisy in dominant organized religions, and the horrific consequences of pseudoscience and malpractice still being utilized today in America.
"Baphomet" can be heard below.

"doesn't really get much worse than this"
Lil Nas X and Nike would like a word

The fucking cringe.

so the best satanist music is still made by people not affiliated with satanism irl.

Out of curiosity I watched the "Hail Satan?" documentary on Hulu which features this Lucien Greaves guy (not his real name) and he is a jackass.
