Desperate Pleasures > A Colossal Wreck > AWOL
That said, it's still an absolute fuck of a jam.

Desperate Pleasures > A Colossal Wreck > AWOL [2]
However, this song has definitely grown on me a lot since it came out
|
| |
Song rips as usual. These guys never disappoint.
|
| |
if it ain't broke
|
| |
Super fun track. Need album deets asap

Yeah pretty much what I was expecting/hoping for. Super stoked for the album.
|
| |
Colossal is the best so far, come on
|
| |
this is at the very least the most fun of the 3. i looooove this shit
|
| |
dope per usual
|
| |
Getting some real FPU vibes from the vocal delivery & mixing.
FPU vibes are an excellent thing.
|
| |
"Colossal is the best so far, come on"[2]
|
| |
I seriously feel like if Low Teens had FPU's production it would be just as acclaimed. Putney uses too much compression IMO for this style, Ballou made everything sound just as it should be. Production on the 3 new songs is a step up, but still no FPU...
|
| |
This is the best of the 3 new songs, class m/
|
| |
plebster
|
| |
Best song so far
Absolute banger
|
| |
getting some at the drive in vibes from those intro vocals. song's pretty nuts
|
| |
yea etid are taking the atoy, this sounds like from parts unknown pt 2 and ive warmed up to it a lot more over time, still wish they'd have songs that incorporate singing/melody a bit more, another wanderlust/revival mode/map change/decaying with the boys would be great
|
| |
CW > AWOL > DP
|
| |
good stuff
|
| |
Goose is the perfect drummer for this band, so creative and energetic
|
| |
Keith channelling his inner Cedric at the beginning, haha.
Every Time I'm At the Drive-In.
|
| |
Decent, but Desperate Pleasures is the best by a long shot. This is better than Colossal but still just...fine
|
| |
I’m with pleb this is my fav so far. Band is about to top low teens BOOK IT
|
| |
topping low teens ain't that hard, it's somewhere at the bottom of their discog tbh
song slaps
CW > AWOL > DP [2]
|
| |
I’m sorry pika I know you’re always right but I loved low teens
|
| |
So did I
However, following up their best album wasn't easy so it was perfectly okay for them to release something good and not amazing
Especially considering that they were on a massive roll from NJA to FPU
|
| |
Fupa was amazing but I prefer my teens low
|
| |
Keith Buckley said NJA was the one album he has no emotional connection to.
|
| |
@goonmob: yeah you can tell there's a thick wall of depression in those lyrics. talking about how useless he is and how anxious he is for death, it just sounds like a downward spiral despite being an absolute banger of an album
i truly believe their next album will be their best ever
|
| |
123
|
| |
nah low teens is their best, then hot damn and then fpu
|
| |
low teens is patchy. opener + last 4 ish songs + cult rule tho
hot damn > ex lives > hopefully this > nja > fpu (has my top etid song on it tho) > big dirty > gutter > low teens > last night in town
|
| |
Why do y’all like FPU so much? What am I missing?
I much prefer Ex Lives, NJA, and Low Teens
|
| |
Kurt's production suits etids style best imo ^^^
|
| |
NJA best
|
| |
NJA, Low Teens, Big Dirty top 3
|
| |
i'm over here still jammin Hot Damn, but the new stuff is pretty cool too
|
| |
"Why do y’all like FPU so much? What am I missing?"
PARALYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYZZZZZZZZZEEEEEEEEED
|
| |
I think the production on FPU is what kills it for me actually. Not enough punch
|
| |
@Steak - you’re back my brother. NJA ftw
|
| |
@YoYo yeah Idiot does slay
|
| |
hell yea brother much love
|
| |
Ex Lives is great but the production sucks, so flat.
|
| |
drag king and indian giver tho
production is massive on those
|
| |
"I think the production on FPU is what kills it for me actually. Not enough punch"
It doesnt kill the album for me but you're right about it needing more punch.
|
| |
Really looking forward to this.
|
| |
keith screaming paralysed is one of the most badass things he has ever done, i think it does speak volumes though on how great etid are, that people can have such varying opinions on their best album as there is no right answer as they are all fantastic
|
| |
also ik low teens has a very muddy and muffled production but i actually prefer that, i could go into how it fits thematically and musically for awhile but i guess to me it just sounds right, maybe as i am not well versed in music production but god damn i love every single second of low teens so much and can easily remember so much of it
|
| |
First thirty seconds blew me away and made me think "how come I don't listen to these guys more often".. 0:40 onwards confirmed why I don't listen to these guys often. :D
Still very much looking forward to this record
|
| |
Why are we comparing the songs and not just fucking enjoying them?
This is like talking to my mother... Just enjoy the damn songs and have fun with them. Nothing has to be "better" than anything.

|
| |
They sound youthful here and that's good
|
| |
Where da album tho
|
| |
