"Waiting on a War" was pretty bland, but "No Son of Mine" was a bit of a curveball and rather decent.

Waiting on a War makes me want to start a war
| |
I dug Concrete and Gold, but so far I don't have high hopes for this album.
| |
no foo for me, thanks
| |
Song is so bland lol
| |
Both 36 Crazyfists and ETID songs of the same titles are a lot better imo.
| |
10/10 title, now gotta check to see if these songs are any good
| |
album's already out there lol
it's fine. better than Sonic Highways, prolly worse than everything else in their catalogue. No Son of Mine is the best song
| |
Waiting on a war spends so much time building up to something that it doesn't actually get there. No son of mine is great though.
Still reading the album title as Minutes to Midnight, and that probably won't change anytime soon.
| |
Absolutely turgid band that are literally still popular purely because of Dave Grohl
| |
“better than Sonic Highways, prolly worse than everything else in their catalogue.“
So you’re saying the new album is their second most uninspired one yet? Great
| |
Sonic Highways was ridiculously bland. Concrete and Gold had a few interesting songs, but it's been a while since they released something that was quality all the way through. Probably the St. Cecilia EP or all the way back to Wasting Light. I think these guys still have the ability to put out bangers but they rest on their laurels too much
| |
Just realized I haven’t listened to Concrete & Gold or St. Cecilia. Not sure if it’s even worth it
| |
These guys are going to be performing at the inauguration
| |
Foo for thought.
| |
how tf did wasting light come out 10 years ago, that's kind of scary
| |
you’d be a foo not to enjoy this
| |
I heard Katy Perry sang I Kissed a Girl at the inauguration
| |
Nothing from this new album is really moving me, sadly
| |
Oh foo-hoo
| |
I'm a Foo Fighters fan... But these new singles ain't it
| |
Seems that the pandemic hasn't been conducive to interesting writing for many artists...
| |
Fooking sucks
| |
One foo in the grave
| |
No Son Of Mine was pretty good for a standard radio rock track but Waiting On A War was the worst song I've heard in a while
| |
One foo over the cuckoos nest
| |
foo-ey i’m fresh out of puns
| |
Shame on foo
| |
😆
| |
bland band that makes bland music
| |
I like No Son of Mine quite a bit. Other ones not so much.
| |
My main complaint is he should stop rhyme young with toygun and stick with the pretender and surrender thing.
| |
While No Son of Mine at least has a little life to it, it also sounds like a gimped Clutch track.
| |
Damn foo I dunno if I I like this foo
| |
Who is this person that expects anything from this band?
| |
I honestly can't believe it's been 10 years since 'Wasting Light'. Since that album, I only ever paid attention to "The Sky Is A Neighborhood" and "Run" from C&G. This album so far isn't looking like it'll change my mind. Maybe I'll keep "No Son Of Mine" in rotation...
| |
Well, the new album is 3 for 3 for songs with maybe a potentially good idea that are squandered by weak execution. I'm fine with Dave trying to tackle these kinds of subjects, but he seems incapable of doing so in an interesting way. Can't you other guys pitch in or something? It's also become annoying to me that the Foos are incapable of utilising their massive lineup. They have 6 band members and most of their recent songs have a sound that you could easily recreate with 3
| |
Boo Fighters
| |
Their last 2 albums bored me but this sounds good let’s see you people do better
| |
If they want to make a big change in their sound, why they dont do it properly? Their last 2 album had just little signs of change. Cmon Dave, just do it.
| |
Petition to make them change their name cuz they’re not latino
| |
new album is only 9 songs and 36 min length. songs are pretty average so far, and so that's only 6 songs to be listened. meh
