Mantar stream Mazzy Star cover 2020-05-20 by Voivod STAFF | 7 Comments | German noise/punk/sludge metal band Mantar have aired new material at their official Bandcamp location.
Titled "Ghost Highway", the first single - a cover to the namesake Mazzy Star song - sets the tone for the band's new album Grungetown Hooligans II, due out on June 26 as an independent release.
On par with the album title and apart from Mazzy Star, the German duo pays tribute to '90s grunge/alternative rock by covering stuff from The Jesus Lizard, Sonic Youth, L7, Babes In Toyland, Mudhoney and 7 Year Bitch.

I remember seeing the band live while touring for their debut, a sonic onslaught for better or for worse...
Judging from the single, the sound of the album is going to be huge throughout.
