New Split End single 2020-04-25 by fluid in its most purist form. always drenched in an undeniable regal divinity. | 4 Comments | Riding off the success of their 2019 minialbum Deep Love Japanese rock quartet Split End have released a limited edition single entitled "Sea Side." The track showcases their established mastery of power pop hooks and versatile sense of pacing.
This comes alongside the announcement of a short tour of Hokkaido, playing Asahikawa and Sapporo in July (24/25th, respectively). The likelihood of these shows going ahead is mixed; the whole of Japan currently under a state of emergency set to end May 6th to coincide with end of the national holiday Golden Week. However, Hokkaido has been a national epicentre for Covid-19 and the prospect of an extended state of emergency has not been ruled out.
No announcement of a follow-up release has been made by the band.

Love love love this band. Song isn't their best, but it catches a lot of the qualities that make them so fab - definitely a cut above anyone else I've heard playing power pop in 2020
