Self-described "moody alternative pop" trio PVRIS has announced the release of their newest album Use Me, coming May 1st, through their new label Warner.

The album includes three tracks ("Hallucinations", "Death of Me", "Old Wounds") previously released on last year's EP, Hallucinations.

Neat, I'll prob check when its out. I'm so tired of the trend of releasing over 1/3 of your album 2 months before its out though. When 3 of the 11 tracks are released last year it just kinda brings some anti-hype I dunno. Not like its anything new though.

Maybe this'll grow on me but nothing I've heard makes me think this will be anywhere near as good as the last album

They kinda dropped the dark aesthetic that made them cool.

"through their new label Warner"

Ok, now it makes sense.

"They kinda dropped the dark aesthetic that made them cool" [2]

Rise Records may be a punchline at this point but they more or less let Pvris do their own thing. Now I'm worried Warner's just gonna turn them into a generic pop act

um this is very clearly their decision thematically lmao, and they're still consciously trying to lean into a dark sound, whether or not it shows as much as before

Don't really dig their first two records but I really enjoyed that ep last year so I'm looking forward to this.

EP was a fine guilty pleasure but I'm not sure I'm that interested into a full PVRIS disc, not much staying power imo.

Single is mega weak

I mean, this compared to the first time I heard "Anyone Else" on this news section is just ridiculous.

Quite disappointed with this single, still hyped for the album. Not sure how to feel for the three Hallucinations' tracks included, but after all "Death of Me" and "Open Wounds" are great.

song is great, but having 3 tracks of the album be previously released material seems like a cop out

This is okay, they have much better material from their first two records.

White Noise is a killer album
