God what a boring song, the last 2 minutes are nice, but the overly long build up is completely pointless, I even enjoyed the last cheesy single more than this.

I loved this, best single so far
| |
Worst leprous song ever.
| |
Some little birdies with press copies tell me that this is the best song on the album
I can see that, though don't think Pitfalls as a whole can top Malina or The Congregation
| |
Mixed feelings until around it picks up at 4:45, then the song starts making sense. This is actually pretty good. I much prefer it to the other singles they've released. This one at least seems like it fits in with their aesthetic.

| |
This is fantastic. At points it reminds me of The Last Milestone but much better, and that ending is just superb. Surely this album is shaping up to be VERY different from their past work, and that's great. Leprous has never been a conforming band nor afraid to experiment, this is just another step forward.
| |
okay this is pure freakin fire
| |
Maybe it has to grow on me, but I find this one really boring due to the long buildup that doesn't really lead to a whole lot. So far this is my least favorite of the 3. As much as I love Einar's voice, I'm pretty tired of hearing basically just his voice for the first minutes of every new song.
| |
oh yeah no this album may as well just be an Einar solo album
| |
duh
| |
Einar needs to relax.
| |
Idk guys, I'm liking all of the new songs so far. Good stuff in its own right. I'm still worried though, because it's so vocal centered
| |
Not one single that they released so far was anything special - or even good... still interested in the album, but this looks even more boring than Malina was - which I still like, in some way.. couldn't this be Einar's solo album? Because this is very, very vocal driven so far and the band is basically just a background that you don't even notice and this is the band that had songs like Forced Entry, Waste Of Air or Contaminate Me
| |
Oh yea, Malina was awesome!
| |
It's a tad unfortunate that the song needs 4 minutes to get going, but after that it's quite good
| |
Will probably be a lot better when listening to it with the rest of the album. Still don't really see the point of this direction they are taking, but its not bad.
| |
Anyone here going to these guys in London next month?
| |
First 4 minutes are anything but boring, I don‘t understand the negativity.
| |
Fantastic song! Sadly the only one out of the three I really enjoy though
| |
The singles gimme a strange Arcane Roots - Melancholia Hymns vibe...and I love that album. I like this.
| |
There seems to be no band behind the singer. This is just bad.
| |
I love the buildup but not too sure about the last three minutes
| |
Still liking them. I'll probably love the album for what it will be, but newer elements added to something in the vein of The Congregation would be a dream
| |
The album seems to be between pop songs and this kind of crappy long track. I have bad feelings.
| |
Btw. Einar didn't write the instrumental for this. Their bassist did
| |
*snores*
| |
Einar is officially one of the best singers of our time
| |
Imagine calling this a "crappy long track"
| |
To be honest, it's not my kind of thing either, but the vocals are great
| |
"overly long buildup" "it picks up half way through" "crappy long track" do you even prog bro, just because there isn't drums and guitar riffs doesn't mean there isn't music occurring.
best leprous song in a while.
| |
Wish I could get into this band but they're either overly technical for my taste, or they sound too vocal centered, and I'm really not a fan of the guy's voice. They're definitely not bad in any way, but damn, if this new stuff had another singer I'd probably be a fan.
| |
Best leprous song since the day after they released alliviate.
Ofc there is music ocurring, but not of my taste. I find this track boring. I like Einar's voice but I will end up hating it if the album is filled with this kind of nodrumsnoguitars prog.
| |
man i liked the last two singles but i don't get this at all. definitely seems like it will take quite a few listens to sink in though, moreso than the others
| |
I've liked every release but the new singles are very underwhelming
| |
fun fact: my father's childhood friend's son is the drummer for leprous
