Lightning Bolt announce Sonic Citadel 2019-08-07 by MoltenIce | 12 Comments | Four years after their previous outing, Fantasy Empire, noise rock duo Lightning Bolt will release their seventh studio album, Sonic Citadel on October 11th.
It could presumably be their final studio album, as drummer Brian Chippendale stated on Instagram that he intends "on being a present dad so the wandering bard life is considerably toned down."

Ride the Skies is their best always and forever and ever. Or their first one maybe.
Maybe it's cause they recorded Fantasy properly, as opposed to their natural habitat or something, but it always felt a bit too clean for a LB album.
