meh, love Converge and Jacob, but this project just does not interest me in the slightest

I don't understand how a group of really remarkable musicians can come together and make something this underwhelming

Why can’t he just sing like he did on the ending of Thousands or Miles Between Us? This emotionless almost spoken word vocal technique just brings every song down. Instrumentally I’m really digging it but Jacob is just ruining it for me. It’s a bummer honestly.

Both of these singles are better than the vast majority of the first record though, I will give him that

I don't think it was him at the end of "A thousand miles...". It sounds a bit like Nate's singing voice so perhaps it's him? Jacob has stated in interviews that his vocal chords are pretty destroyed at this point so he has to work with what he's got.

it is jacob singing on thousands of miles. like you said his vocal chords are probably shredded so he’s just not a very good clean singer, if he ever was. they’re probably going this route because when they play thousands of miles live he only has to do that once. touring wyw is way different
