What you think? Right now I'm thinking it's their best yet, and quite a unique sound within death metal. I'm seeing them tomorrow. It's a good time to see them. They are playing 6 tracks from this plus stuff from the previous album.

It's still too early for me to say if it's the band's best album to date, but I've been enjoying it a lot.

I dig Cameron Porras' riffs and harmonies, they are quite distinctive.

Oh yeah, I should properly check these guys out. They're playing a tiny bar in Alberta next Monday and I was thinking of going. Seems up my alley. Even repetitive by-the-numbers tech-death can be fun live.

Hell yea check em out. You are lucky you get Aethereus at that show too. Warforged and Aepoch are joining them on some of the shows too.

Okay I really like the title track, but some relistens are needed for the rest to stand out.

Just remembered these are the guys that The Faceless booted from their tour in 2017 because of a FALSE rape claim that went nowhere and wasn't proven nor persecuted. But holier-than-thou temporary band member and notorious dickchode Ken Sorceron didn't care and booted em. I guess nothing of value was lost because The Faceless' tour sucked hahaha. Fuck you, Ken. Going to see them next Monday just to buy a piece of merch and support a band that was fucked over by false claims. You're fat, Ken, fat and old, and nobody likes your music.

I'm salty because my OG account from 2009 was banned here when I laughed in the face of rape claims against....I don't even remember the band name!

Some band from eastern Europe that banged a chick in their tour van and she regretted it and made false rape claims, and only after having their name dragged through the mud and BEING ARRESTED did they get exonerated.

I guess it's "problematic" to not want to treat the accused as if they're filthy guilty criminals because anyone can make any accusations they want these days without proof and end someone's career. Sad.

---

A little less cut and try here I think...a girl made accusations. Said their guitarist raped her when she was 16. This was ten full years ago in 2007. They were probably the same age. She does have a detailed account of her attempts to report and prove it, and said she's still was paying ER bills for years afterwards. It rambles on about self-harm and frankly it's kind of sad and it very well could be true. I only use the term "false" claim because it's false until it's proven true in the eyes of the law. Obviously none of us are privy to the real event so..he probably did have non-consensual sex.

The problem comes from people passing judgement and enacting justice when a case hasn't gone to court and nobody has been proven guilty. It's a messy one. But as far as I know, nothing more came of it. Messy situation, but I can't justify not supporting an artist over heresay and claims. So when Keene & Sorceron ban a band like that, it comes across as knee-jerk virtue signaling.
