Nadler and Brodsky cover GNR

2019-04-08 by Dewinged EMERITUS | 8 Comments
Marissa Nadler and Stephen Brodsky have released a second single for their collaborative upcoming album, titled "Droneflower". The song in question is a cover of Guns N' Roses' epic tune "Estranged".

"Droneflower" will be available on April 26th through Sacred Bones Records.
In the meantime, you can hear the couple's moody take on "Estranged" below:

One of my favourite GNR songs, great cover.

On another note, perhaps this news item should be catalogued in the collaboration's band page

Edited! Thanks Voivod. And yeah, great cover, not an easy one to tackle.

I see that you have a news item about the cover in Marissa Nadler's page, it's ok, the more news items about this the merrier, because I didn't catch the previous one.

Yeah I submitted the previous single's news when it was released, that may have been before the page for Marissa Nadler and Stephen Brodsky was created. In retrospect, I should have created the page and then submit the news item. Oh well... ;)

I'm really hoping there are drums on the album. I love the two tracks they've released but the other song in particular is just begging for some crushing drums.

Good cover but I wonder if I enjoy it because I had the original version in my mind while listening to the cover.

Needs more dolphin sounds, but this is great!
