Such a pet peeve of mine but I fucking hate when bands spoil the last song on the album. It's like giving away the end of a movie for me. Song still slaps though.

This is really good!
|
| |
apparently you can spoil a fucking music album now, what whacky times we do live in.
|
| |
I enjoyed this. Maybe I should check this band. The vocal production still bothers me though
|
| |
Not gonna listen I think, I like to listen to a full record without having too much spoiled
|
| |
Peartnoy has a point - why bother structuring an album in a certain order if there is no significance to song placement? You may as well put the album on shuffle if the last song doesn't bear any weight to it as a conclusion of the album.
This is especially so for prog artists like Haken who sometimes have a running narrative through the album
|
| |
Regrdless if it was stupid to release this song now or not, it's still amazing
|
| |
This doesn't strike me as a conclusion of some sort.
Still though, decent track.
|
| |
Not crazy about it like Puzzle Box, but it's pretty good.
|
| |
This literally sounds like a Leprous song, change the singer and you could not tell the difference.
|
| |
@JJkeys
Nailed it. It's a great song anyway but I'm disappointed that they chose it to close out the album.
|
| |
I agree with the whole "why release a closer as a single before the album is out" thing but you can always choose not to listen to it.
Besides, there's still a 12+ minute song to hear
|
| |
I listened to it on spotify before reading the description here. And even then sometimes the band won't tell it's the album closer so I end up disappointed. I just don't think it's ever a good idea.
|
| |
The singer is the only reason I don't listen to these guys more. Instrumentally they're really good, but the vocalist is grating on my ears.
|
| |
yall care too much, just enjoy the damn album for what it will be when it comes out.
songs change shape when theyre listened to within the context of an album anyway.
|
| |
I want to say, I can stand the vocals easily, but it's weird still idk. I'm looking forward to this, might be a good point to get into this band
|
| |
@Flugmorph
I know it's not the biggest thing haha it just annoys me.
|
| |
alright then
|
| |
Second Coldplaz. They sound like a more synthy, Petrucci-guitar toned Leprous now.
