WYTSYD releases 2 EP's 2018-10-11 by StarvingArtist | 2 Comments | Michael Whiteside (Childspeak, Muscle Beach Petting Zoo, Thom Simon) pulled a double just in time for the weekend, featuring two brand new EP's with a rather juxtaposed relationship.
"Dilated is the sound of someone walking away from the feeling of knowing it all. Humbling yourself in the face of all the things you will or will not experience in a single lifetime. And I think you can meet that feeling with love, but I think that feeling is one present on Exasturbator or YNDYFYNT. Dilated is just permeated with that darker feeling, whereas Exasturbator is something I've just been meaning to get off my chest for a while now, and is a little more meaningful to me. Closer to my roots."
In addition to fairly experimental production, it is perhaps also worth mentioning that both EP's feature prominent vocals and lyrics, as opposed to the largely instrumental output of his full-time projects.
