Saw them open for Converge and Sumac earlier this year, they were quite good.

Parts on this sound like they could've been ripped straight off of No Absolutes In Human Suffering. That is in no way a bad thing.

Converge and SUMAC on the same bill? With Cult Leader opening? That is a hell of a gig...

I still miss gaza. alot. but this track exceeded my expectations.

I must say, though, that the anti-christianity stuff is getting a tad bit old. Obviously we'll see how the record turns out, and if the music is good then that can definitely be overlooked.

Based on this song alone I don't see anything specifically about Christianity.

I saw them open for Dillinger. Obrother was also on that bill.. That was weird but I was all for it.

Same. They absolutely blew the paint off the walls.

"Based on this song alone I don't see anything specifically about Christianity."

Album art, art for the video (snake around cross), name of the single "I am healed", lyrical "heal me" imagery is all particularly christian.

Snake on the cross is medical, isn't it? Maybe originally derived from religious themes, idk, but it makes sense wit the title and lyrics. Not arguing with you because I'm not well versed in Christianity, but I don't see anything particularly negative about the cover either.

got you. I highly doubt, though, that they're singing about doctors rather than priests.

"Converge and SUMAC on the same bill? With Cult Leader opening? That is a hell of a gig... "

Yea it ended up being pretty amazing besides eating some bad sushi before the show... Sumac songs don't translate that well live imo but Turner was great as always.

Lol I somehow missed the snake on the cross my bad. But tbf healing is an aspect of pretty much every major religion, isn't it? But paired with the snake, I can see where you're coming from.

they are still very much a continuation from gaza and frankly might as well be carrying the same name

Well yea it’s literally the same members, but I think their output is distinct enough to warrant it being its own thing.
