beyond my expectations, fucking brutal
| |
That was pretty savage
| |
ugh I'm so hyped
| |
The hype train is rooooooolling. If the rest of the album is like this, could easily surpass Lightless Walk
| |
ALLLL ABOARDDDDD
| |
guy sounds like prime akerfeldt
| |
This song bangs. I have a feeling these guys are about to get a lot more recognition with this record.
| |
wtf? looks like I've put Cult Leader on my digs in the right time X) song's crazy amazing btw m/
| |
"I have a feeling these guys are about to get a lot more recognition with this record."
About damn time
| |
Good god that was intense
| |
fuck this actually sounds as good as gaza without that utter cunt at the helm finally
| |
yessssssssssssssssssssss
| |
I WILLL FEEED
| |
my fuckin God this track
| |
yea this is a vicious cut
| |
Reminding me more and more of gaza
That's a really good thing
| |
Helllll to the yes
| |
whoa
| |
for my money, the heaviest band on the planet at the moment.
| |
Saw them open for Converge and Sumac earlier this year, they were quite good.
| |
Parts on this sound like they could've been ripped straight off of No Absolutes In Human Suffering. That is in no way a bad thing.
| |
Converge and SUMAC on the same bill? With Cult Leader opening? That is a hell of a gig...
| |
I still miss gaza. alot. but this track exceeded my expectations.
| |
I must say, though, that the anti-christianity stuff is getting a tad bit old. Obviously we'll see how the record turns out, and if the music is good then that can definitely be overlooked.
| |
Based on this song alone I don't see anything specifically about Christianity.
I saw them open for Dillinger. Obrother was also on that bill.. That was weird but I was all for it.
| |
'I saw them open for Dillinger. Obrother was also on that bill.. That was weird but I was all for it.'
Same. They absolutely blew the paint off the walls.
| |
I saw them on that Dillinger tour too, and Car Bomb also played my show.
| |
I got Bent Knee instead. Lame.
| |
Bent Knee is the least cool name for a band ever
| |
Yeah, it's lame. They also weren't my thing.
| |
"Based on this song alone I don't see anything specifically about Christianity."
Album art, art for the video (snake around cross), name of the single "I am healed", lyrical "heal me" imagery is all particularly christian.
| |
Snake on the cross is medical, isn't it? Maybe originally derived from religious themes, idk, but it makes sense wit the title and lyrics. Not arguing with you because I'm not well versed in Christianity, but I don't see anything particularly negative about the cover either.
| |
got you. I highly doubt, though, that they're singing about doctors rather than priests.
| |
"Converge and SUMAC on the same bill? With Cult Leader opening? That is a hell of a gig... "
Yea it ended up being pretty amazing besides eating some bad sushi before the show... Sumac songs don't translate that well live imo but Turner was great as always.
| |
Lol I somehow missed the snake on the cross my bad. But tbf healing is an aspect of pretty much every major religion, isn't it? But paired with the snake, I can see where you're coming from.
| |
This is coming out on my birthday, the day before my band's debut at a house show/my birthday party. Shaping up to be a helluva weekend.
| |
This sounds so much like no absolutes in human suffering in the best ways possible. Fucking gutwrenching emotions.
| |
cool, a new gaza album
| |
Cult Leader has their own sound for sure tho
| |
they are still very much a continuation from gaza and frankly might as well be carrying the same name
| |
Well yea it’s literally the same members, but I think their output is distinct enough to warrant it being its own thing.
| |
Yeh this is really good, Makes me even more excited than I already was to see them live in a few weeks.
| |
I’m seeing them too, Kompys whaddup.
| |
That was absolutely savage, damn.
Those vocals...shiiiiiiiiii m////
| |
Savage indeed. Goddamn. Like some others here, I saw Cult Leader support Dillinger during their final tour and holy fuck...it was like a cacophony of brutality.
| |
I really love this track! Is the previous album this good?
| |
yes
| |
@Relinquished...on it right now and its really fuckin great.
| |
