I really didn't like that video. I did like their video for "Blindfolds Aside", oddly enough.

i thought this was a sweet video... but i'm still thinking that blindfolds aside is the best one that they've put out.

yeah they need to replace one of their chief songwriters, their lyricist and yeah, you're lame.

lame video, but they knew that.

I havent talked to anyone in the band.

It's admittedly a cool video, but the whole vampire, dark club stuff is kind of lame. Still the video spawned from a cool ass photoshoot, and whatever.

Their bass player is horrid. When he is not following the guitar he isn't playing, skips most of his lines live and can't scream. I grew up listening to them and seeing them a lot i've seen what they can do.

I was unaware he was the lyricist. This Message Edited On 07.28.07

I "grew up" listening to them too, that's no excuse. I've also seen them 39 times. So nice try I guess. He does change a lot of the lines live but that's because he can get away with it.
I'll assume "growing up" with them means you've been listening to them since pre-Calculated Use of Sound days, but probably not. Regardless, you should at least be aware that a lot of the reasons for him missing parts and doing his own thing was teh fact that his bass used to pretty much always be semi-functional. It broke every show, guaranteed, and it wasn't until around '06 when he finally got one that wasn't held together by duct tape. But I guess you'd know that, "growing up" with them. This Message Edited On 07.28.07

I said grew up listening, never said grew up with them. And still, even now he actually skips lines leaving long pauses in the riffs, and I remember even in the bass forum people pointed it out.

And yes, I heard them around the Calculated use of sound, not sure when exactly but i remember it coming out. I live in Ajax, next door to whitby and oshawa, and grew up liking the punk scene.

I like how their sound but i just think the bass could be better. But thats just my opinion. This Message Edited On 07.28.07

Well, at least you're legit. Agree to disagree; I personally love his bass-work.
Hah, I've probably been to plenty 'o shows with you without having realized it. I've seen 'em a few times out in the dirty Shwa and whatnot.

I think his bass work is excellent. Its one thing to turn the bass up in the mix, but its a whole other thing to actually make it shine. He does a great job, on Kezia atleast. Havent seen them live and dont have Calculated

Closer to 17 actually. The lyrics were thought up when they were young but work on the actual album wasnt started until the 16-17 range.

Moe's the pothead of the group actually, and I'm pretty sure the director pitched the video.
