not sure about this song... Production is really wierd too
| |
production is a hell of a lot better than the last 2 albums. The kick drum doesn't make me feel sick for one
| |
this rules, though the cleans are a bit off
| |
These guys know how to groove, but yeah production has never been a strength. This one sounds better though. Decent track too, much more straight forward though.
| |
Great song, but why did you post a topic video instead of the lyric video on Century Media's youtube page?
| |
does it really matter tbh?
| |
Well I only bring it up because topic videos aren't available everywhere
| |
I knew a new song was being released today, this just happened to be the first video that came up when I searched on YouTube.
| |
Not as good as TesseracT.
| |
nope, it's better
| |
"Great song, but why did you post a topic video instead of the lyric video on Century Media's youtube page?"
Because who really wants to read what these muppets are singing
| |
Monuments singles have always done best within the context of the album. I remember when "I, Creator" and "Origins of Escape" came out I could take them or leave them, but within the context of the album they are crazy good. I really enjoyed this song and I think it's going to hit even harder with the rest of the songs to follow.
| |
tesseract lolol
production is way better. no distorted or speaker-destroying lows/weirdness
its ok, probably an average song on the record
| |
who really wants to read what these muppets are singing [2]
| |
Monuments are supposed to be better than this type of track.
| |
They're taking the Veil of Maya path
| |
Song fuckin rips. This album is gonna be massive.
| |
"They're taking the Veil of Maya path"
WUT
| |
That groove at the end is great
| |
Yeah this is like the best track I've ever heard from this band
| |
Christ, those lyrics are pretty cringe.
| |
Cleans completely ruined the momentum of the song.
| |
Chris needs to go back to Ever Forthright.
| |
Cleans didn't ruin the song, but weren't my cup of tea. I actually thought some stuff off their last LP was cool, but not anything to spam my entire list of music friends with.
| |
Pretty bleh. I really liked the last album aside from the production sounding like ass. This is boring though.
| |
Chorus cleans sound weird. Don't feel so hot about that.
Rest of the song is solid though; this thing grooves.
I wouldn't worry too much about the production. YouTube is known to completely mess up audio mixes, and Browne's said something to that effect.
Looking forward to the full album. Their stuff is always better as a whole.
| |
is this going to be another album where everyone is going to complain about the production 24/7
| |
well toon here i am, shitting on your parade this time
| |
If he uses those cleans on every track the album is going to suck.
| |
Solid af. Previous album had some clean vocals as well and was amazing, cant wait for the full thing.
The lyrics are meh tho
| |
doty probably confirmed
| |
song not available, nice url you got there.
| |
Pretty solid.
| |
People need to shut the fuck up about YouTube fucking up mixes / audio, it changes virtually nothing
| |
Chris's cleans are fantastic! Lyrics are a bit high school angst tho.
| |
"song not available, nice url you got there."
And this is exactly why I brought up the topic video being an odd choice lol
Song is decent, not as good as anything on the last album but Chris sounds great
| |
Production is meh.
Guitars are mixed really weird
| |
You snooze, you lose
| |
Agree the cleans are a little weird but this sounds like pretty standard Monuments song. Hope they switched things up a bit on the rest.
| |
big-dick snooze
| |
Why us anybody complaining about the cleans? Amanuensis has cleans on every song and Chris kills them. Seriously, have people not heard this band before?
| |
his cleans on that album were great, they sound kinda off on this song though.
