I didn’t love Love Never but Half Heart was great

Neither song blew me away, but they were fun CTL era sounding songs.

Half Heart was great but both sounded like a step back from Integrity Blues

There's definitely some regression in their sound for these songs. I won't pass any judgment until the album is released.

There is no album in the pipeline, just these two songs. Jim has expressed interest before in the idea of releasing singles periodically as an alternative to an album. I think this is a manifestation of that interest.

i was massively disappointed by these songs when i first heard them. i think i called them dogshit. that was an exaggeration, just because i was moody at the slight regression. but now, half heart has really grown on me and i think its quite lovely and the wobbles in his vocals throughout are quite moving. still dont like love never though, i think its one of the worst songs theyve had in quite some time.

Periodic singles isn't so bad. That could work. I prefer albums though. Still, it's interesting to hear these two.
