tbh that's this band in a nutshell. They definitely have good stuff out there, but they have they're heads so far up their asses most of the time it's actually quite hilarious.

The guitars are always dizzying and fun and about half of their songs are guilty-pleasure masterpieces. I guess I just wish the rest of their material was as good as their best material, because there's quite a disparity.

Who am I kidding, I'll preorder the vinyl anyway.

I'll probably overhype it like I did Mothership and rate it a 5 after one listen, only to have it drop to a strong 4.2 after letting it sink in

The DGD live studio album is pretty tight too - for those doubting Tillian. Maybe he used autotune (idk) but he sounded real good on it, especially songs like Carl Barker.

They started with 4 different color variants that have already sold out. There are already two new color options. Damn, that sold fast. I was lucky enough to get one of the first four color variants.

I'm going to have to kindly disagree with you on Tillian butchering Carl Barker. That's my favourite DGD song - he does a different take on it, but it's better. Because he's better than Kurt Travis (imo). He incorporates more slides and trills, (using guitar terms), but it sounds authentic. It's different. But it's better. It's not the album version vocally, but if you prefer Tillian, I feel like you would prefer that version of Carl Barker.

Kurt is my favorite, but I love Tilian as well. He does not match the passion that was in Kurt's voice in that song, instead sounding rather bored and unenthusiastic throughout the entirety of the track

Mess is definitely on his A Game. Been pretty damn consistent since Acceptance Speech. Really hope that this will be the album that Tillian truly gets into gear, but then again that might just be because I prefer Kurt and Jonny over Tillian.
