Korn frontman Jonathan Davis has released a new teaser trailer for his new solo album, which has now been revealed to be called Black Labyrinth. I’m looking for a 0.5 review in the near future. Does this have potential for that?

I remember listening to korn and thinking - those bullies should have tried harder, they could have kept this fucker down for good..

What It Is is actually pretty decent, but the rest of this sounds like an very mixed bag. Some of it sounds alright and some of it sounds terrible. And the mixing definitely is weird in places too.

This is the equivalent of someone "teasing you" by shitting their own pants.

This sounds awesomely shit, like beyond a 0.5 review - a 0.1 review maybe :/

is 0.1 possible?

A 0.1 review isn’t possible other than I could put in a notation - this album is incomprehensibly lame as all fuck, actual rating = 0.1/5

Why did I ever tell myself that this could end up being like Zack de la Rocha solo material? It isn't at all.

This definitely isn't a 0.1. I've heard 0.1 material, and it's much worse than this. This is just Korn's Untitled album, part 2.

I don't understand all the criticism.
It's not mindblowing but I don't understand the super harshness. It sounds exactly like what I would expect from a Jonathan Davis solo album.

People just like to act super hard on here and diss everything he and Korn do because it's still "cool". Chill out. Pretty sure the new underoath and 30stm is a lot worse than this, but will probably get rated higher for some odd reason. My issues is it's just too damn poppy with its choruses. Although Everything and Basic Needs sound decent.

"People just like to act super hard on here and diss everything he and Korn do because it's still 'cool'..."

no. I have Korn's self titled 5/5'd with no shame but this is still very not good. most people here don't hate stuff to be cool. maybe from biases but not to be cool.

Their first 2 albums still slay. They captured the mood of the 90's middle-class alt youth so well.
