please no
| |
Never been into this group but that is one solid metal cover art
| |
fuck you, please YES
| |
predicting this will be better than at war with reality but still probably in the hard 3.5-light 4 range
| |
i'll stick with my no
| |
I'd love for a new 3.5 ATG record. Last one felt like it was played by a band falling asleep.
| |
Actually kind of surprised by this news.
| |
Good.
| |
yea artwork is much more interesting and "death metal" than the last one, so I'm interested now.
| |
This is gonna be awesome
| |
As long as they don't sound like a cheap ripoff of themselves, it'll be better than AWWR.
| |
This honestly has my favorite artwork of theirs.
| |
man that art is dope
| |
band was cool in 1995 just embarrassing themselves at this point
| |
Slaughter of the Soul is the greatest melo-death record of all time.
| |
ok chill lol
| |
That artwork is so m///////
Expecting a decent record.
| |
ey another strong 2.5 incoming
| |
Man, "To drink from the night itself" is such a awesome album title.
| |
Hell yeah.
| |
Hope it's better than the last one
| |
ey another strong 2.5 incoming [2]
Godawful album title too.
| |
nice
| |
'The band has alluded the album will be "thematically connected" to their 1992 classic debut "The Red In The Sky Is Ours".'
If only it was stylistically connected
| |
who knows, it could be. sounds promising nonetheless
| |
So much hatred for a legendary band just because they put out 1 average album, Jesus Christ chill out, I for once welcome our new alien overlords.
| |
i dont see any hate itt
| |
'1 average album'
Agreed, we can forgive them for Slaughter, screw the haters!
| |
Cool art but that means nothing about the music on it, stoked to hear it though
| |
What was so terrible about AWWR? It was overproduced and a little homogeneous in the current metal landscape but it had some decent jams. The title track in particular was heavy AF.
| |
Not gonna lie, that art looks looks like fuckin vintage metal badassery
| |
No need to lie, that album cover is awesome
| |
as long as the production is a bit meatier and the music is a bit faster it'll be good. didn't mind the few new ideas they had on AWWR
| |
"No need to lie, that album cover is awesome"
True, dunno why I said that first part. I think it was because I was also gonna say the album title is stupid.
| |
oh yeah, album title is pretty bad. ATWR had a track called "Death and the Labyrinth" and a track called "Heroes and Tombs", and now the new one has a track called "A Labyrinth Of Tombs"
| |
"Tomb" and "labyrinth" are really metal words, so I kinda dig that??
| |
and its only sin was it was bland and lacked originality.'
Thats a pretty big sin when it comes to writing an album
| |
I really liked their last record. People criticized it seemingly because it wasn't Slaughter of the Soul 2.0
| |
Instead it was slaughter of the soul -20
| |
Liked their last record. Looking forward to this one.
| |
lmao that album title
im almost intrigued
| |
Will 99% likely be a big disappointment
| |
album title is lame. Apparently I liked their last album on release judging by my rating, but haven't jammed it since. Will remain cautiously optimistic.
| |
eh i'll check it I guess. wasn't a big fan of war
| |
All of their album titles are lame/goofy tbh
i kinda like The Red In The Sky Is Ours
| |
album title is great
| |
I'm going full hype for this one, don't even give a care.
| |
I dig the hell out of the art.
| |
Well, it's the best art they've ever had by a loooooong shot
| |
I’m one of the camp that really liked their last album so yeah, this one’s on my radar.
| |
1) Best album cover they've had, by far
2) Album title is in their typical "metaphysical poetry" fashion, so not much to comment here.
3) Their last album (AWWR) fucking sucked and I sincerely wish they realized that. Not that they probably even care much how it was received though, because at this point they're too old and rich to care about anyone's opinion on their music than their own.
| |
yeah i bet these dudes are totally rolling in money
| |
Pumped for this.
| |
'The band has alluded the album will be "thematically connected" to their 1992 classic debut "The Red In The Sky Is Ours".'
gtfo
| |
Man bands always say that kind of shit
| |
album artwork looks like tbdm's last album, which slayed, so it must follow that this one will be great too, right?
| |
^YEA
| |
i am glad you agree, suppatime : )
| |
AWWR wasn't bad lol...it was a little boring but I'm glad it was released. There's some songs on that album that I still go back to every once in a while
| |
Should give this band another try tbh. Feel like I haven't judged their merits and discog in detail
| |
I have a good feeling about this.
| |
I'm actually quite positive about music tbh
| |
No fuck you
You'll soon realise most of my disagreements with you are over albums you don't enjoy enough. You're the negative curmudgeon here!
