Sounds great as always. A little more aggressive than I'm used to from them.

| |
Not my favorite song from them, they normally go above and beyond but this was pretty standard. Still it has a pretty refreshing early 2000's pop punk vibe in the chorus and since I'm their self-proclaimed biggest fan, I still love it anyway and can't wait for this album
| |
There was hints of more aggression on Pilot Waves. I'm fine with them adding that element to their sound. This isn't my favorite song from them either, but they're always good a 3.5-4 album and a few 5/5 songs.
| |
I'm not gunna lie, I was not really into this at all. 2.5-3 material at best for me. I really enjoyed their self titled a few years back.
| |
it’s alright. About time for some new Icarus tho
| |
Yeah it's pretty standard fare for them. Still solid.
| |
Yeahh, was holding out hope that they'd put out something this year. Song sounds pretty good. They've been pretty consistent so I'm looking forward to this.
| |
My expectations are still high af damn. This better be the best album ever
| |
Well that didnt do much for me comepared to when they put out skysweeper but I have a lot of confidence the album will be fun.
| |
Nice, they're solid at consistent releases every few years. Bloc will be in here soon I imagine. Will get to listen later tonight...stoked! As long as it's noodly and catchy as fuck then I'm on-board. They never really need to elevate the material beyond what they've been doing for years.
| |
Yeah Skysweeper was a godly first track to release for Pilot Waves and yet it still was bottom 3 on the album for me. love it to death though
| |
I thought this song was great. It's fast-paced and energetic which is perfect to get the hype train rolling so to speak.
| |
Pretty good, as is expected by these guys at this point.
| |
excited, they're consistent though this isn't their best song
| |
cannot get into this band, aside from a few tracks that are so much better than the rest of their work. they're so inconsistent. this is pretty good though.
| |
inconsistent? they are consistent af man.
| |
How have I never heard of these guys before?? Just jammed first track off of Pilot Waves and was some seriously good shit.
| |
dude listen to everything. if you dig their technicality listen to their self-titled next
| |
Aerisavion, you listen to more? It's baffling they're not more well known. Technical and catchy as hell. Just plain fun. There's 2-3 songs in their discography I'll skip, but it's mostly wonderful.
| |
I can name the 2 songs I haven't fallen in love with by this band. Everything else is held in very high regard. I wish my friends didn't overplay the shit out of Esophagus at one point cuz god damn that's a good one but it feels less magical than it did when I was getting into it.
But really, these guys have my favorite discography throughout and I really hope this album exceeds everything they have done
| |
and I'd like to think that if rock music was still cool, these guys would be able to make a big name for themselves.
I really hope they get on a bigger label soon like Equal Vision or Epitaph. It would actually be huge for them if they got on Rise
| |
'Aerisavion, you listen to more?'
Jammed Pilot Waves and enjoyed it. I'll listen to more of them once I've got more time (:
| |
Self Titled > Pilot Waves >= Love Always Leviathan > The Spotless Mind
and The Spotless Mind is still amazing. I think if it was only 10-12 tracks it would be a 4.5 not to say that some songs hold it back, it just feels too long. but about half of that album is 4.5 songs
