Don't know if I would call Periphery a post-hardcore band. Cover is pretty typical.

"Post-Hardcore band Periphery"
| |
Once again periphery has made another cure against le derp. I hope they make a djent cover of one stepcloser or faint cuz that will be epic shit for djentelmen, lololololololol, thanks to djent I stopped being a mortal, now I am le table lolololololol
| |
Woah, they managed to make vocals even more whiny than in the original.

"Woah, they managed to make vocals even more whiny than in the original"
well I mean this IS periphery we're talking about...
| |
post-hardcore band Periphery... I'm waiting for death-metal band Deftones' tribute.
| |
If Periphery is post-hardcore then Dance Gavin Dance is progressive metal
| |
Metalcore with a gimmick.
| |
Once the vocals hti I was like no. I'm with you Eames.
| |
shiiiiiiiiit
| |
I actually thought this was a heartwarming cover.
| |
"Today on Sputnik Music News: Djent band At The Drive In has joined Periphery with live tributes as they plan to cover the lead single 'Heavy' from Linkin Park's latest record on their upcoming tour, with a guest appearance from celtic rock artist Regina Spektor"
| |
On the topic of the song, what the hell was Matt Halpern doing lol? While I didn't particularly care for the vocals, his performance was by far the most irritating part. This sounded more like a drum cover than an actual full band performance.
| |
Are you guys part of the genre police or what? Who gives a fuck?
Cover is solid.
| |
Yeah this is the worst I've heard of Matt's playing. Should've toned it down and drums were mixed a little too high
| |
I had no problem with the drums.
| |
I just feel like Matt couldn't hold back on the technicality like he should have and it took me out of the song quite a bit.
| |
where the streets have no name...
| |
stop derpin while im post hardcorin lolollllloloiilillillillololo
| |
wtf is this spencer
| |
don't be so negative, it's a tribute for somebody who just died
| |
there's nothing wrong with the drums.
| |
This is okay, I don't mind it. Nice way to pay tribute.
| |
"don't be so negative, it's a tribute for somebody who just died"
I appreciate what they're doing, but regardless of intent it still sounds bad lol
| |

I realize that this is a fairly mediocre cover, but I was being overly negative in those posts. In all fairness, appreciating the tribute is what should be at forefront here.
| |
I enjoyed it.
| |
That was basically a stealth insult, post-harcore is basically "emo", lol. Well, Spencer does sound like a little bitch sometimes. Most of the time.
I'd tip my fedora to the author of this if I had one
| |
omg this site is trash
| |
SUCH trash.
| |
Dudes voice gets whinier with every release.
| |
Niggas should stop derpin while I am djentin, I thought that with chester's death the derpin will stop. Guess I was wrong
| |
Would be entirely unsurprised to see Spencer audition for LP once the dust settles.
| |
I don't know the Linkin Park song. I thought it was a fitting tribute. All you complainers need to give a little thought.
| |
Meh, I'm complaining because I'm distracted from the vocals, the main point of the tribute. I think that's fair.
| |
Respec dawg respec
| |
i love these vocals you guys are fucking crazy. i also love periphery though...
| |
this was nice, I forgot about this song and it's a really fitting song for a tribute
| |
More people hating on Spencer, whats new, fantastic cover Spencer did a great job
| |
ok, now that a while has passed since, you know...
the cover sounds like something off of a owl city album
| |
what genre is this ?
| |
ballad
